There are no security concerns regarding the Awami League's programmes in February, said Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Sheikh Md Sajjat Ali. 

He made the remark during a press conference on Friday (January 31) at 11:30 am while discussing security measures for the book fair.

When asked whether there was any threat of attacks surrounding the Awami League's scheduled programmes, the DMP commissioner said various groups are announcing events, and law enforcement is handling them daily.

He further said that several members of the banned Chhatra League had already been arrested, and there were no indications of potential threats. 

However, law enforcement remains vigilant and will take action if necessary, he added.
