The weather is expected to remain dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD). 

Light to moderate fog may occur late at night to early morning. Night and day temperatures may drop by 1-2°C.

Looking ahead, the temperature is predicted to rise over the next five days. 

A ridge of sub-continental high extends up to West Bengal and nearby parts of Bangladesh, while a seasonal low lies over South Bay.

On Thursday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 31.5°C in Teknaf, Chattogram Division, while the minimum was 10.2°C in Ishwardi, Rajshahi Division.

In the capital, the sun will set at 5:49 PM today and rise at 6:36 AM tomorrow.
