DHAKA: Two abductors were killed and three members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) were injured in a gunfight with a gang of abductors in city’s Kadamtali area on Monday noon.

RAB-10 sources said that acting on a tip off a team of the law enforcers conducted a special drive in the area around 12:15pm.

Sensing the presence of RAB, the abductors opened fire aiming them, RAB also retaliated that prompted a gunfight, leaving two abductors dead on the spot and three RAB personnel injured.

RAB personnel, however, nabbed three abductors from the spot.

Commanding Officer of RAB-10 Lieutenant Colonel Sarwar confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Kadamtali thana officer-in-charge Mustafizur Rahman told banglanews that the bodies were sent to Sir Salimullah Medical Colelge Hospital for autopsy.
