Renowned architect and Managing Director of Asenz Securities, Lailun Nahar Ekram, has passed away at the age of 72. 

She died on Tuesday night after a prolonged battle with critical kidney disease.

Lailun Nahar leaves behind her husband, one son, one daughter, a daughter-in-law, son-in-law, three grandchildren, and a wide circle of family, friends, colleagues, and associates.

Her first Namaz-e-Janaza will be held at Taqwa Masjid in Dhanmondi after Asar prayer, followed by a second Namaz-e-Janaza on Thursday at Gulshan Central Mosque (Azad Mosque) after Zohar prayer. 

She will be laid to rest beside her parents in the family graveyard in Joydeppur, Gazipur.

Lailun Nahar made significant contributions to the architectural landscape of Bangladesh, with notable works including the Dhaka Nagar Bhaban, Open University, LGRD Bhaban in Agargaon, and various Bangladesh Bank projects.
