The three-day Deputy Commissioner (DC) Conference kicked off this morning (Feb 16) with an inaugural ceremony led by Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus at the Shapla Hall of the Chief Adviser’s Office.
The conference started around 10:30 am and will feature open discussions between the chief adviser and deputy commissioners, focusing on 353 proposals, with a top priority placed on improving law and order.
Other key issues include public service, infrastructure development, legal amendments, and addressing public grievances.
The Cabinet Division has confirmed that DCs and divisional commissioners will present the proposals, with 34 working sessions scheduled across various ministries and divisions at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium.
Sessions with the Cabinet Division and the closing session will take place at the newly constructed Cabinet Division building.
This year’s conference stands out as the first under the current interim government following the August 5 mass uprising, highlighting its significant role.
Unlike previous editions, there will be no courtesy meeting with the president at Bangabhaban.
