Bangladeshi worker dies after falling from building in Saudi Arabia

A Bangladeshi worker has died after falling from a building while working in Saudi Arabia, his family confirmed.

The deceased has been identified as Sagar Matubbar, a resident of Vanga upazila in Faridpur district, Bangladesh.

The incident occurred on Tuesday (February 18) at around 6:00 pm Bangladesh time.

According to family sources, Sagar was working on a balcony railing of a three-story building when he accidentally fell, dying at the scene. His death has caused deep grief among his family members and local villagers. He was the eldest of six siblings, including two brothers and four sisters.

Confirming the incident, Tito Molla, a member of the Tuzarpur Union Parishad and a local resident, said that Sagar had moved to Saudi Arabia’s Dammam city three to four months ago on a free visa. He was employed at a construction company with a good salary.

“This evening, we received the news that he fell while working on a building and died on the spot,” Molla said.
