The government has sent Disaster Management and Relief Secretary Md Kamrul Hasan, Industries Ministry Senior Secretary Zakia Sultana, and Additional Secretary Sayla Farzana into forced retirement. 

The Ministry of Public Administration issued separate notifications on Thursday regarding their retirement.

Kamrul Hasan previously served as the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Moulvibazar under the Awami League government. Zakia Sultana was retired for reportedly taking a stance against the July-August uprising. Sayla Farzana, identified as a controversial official during the Awami League tenure, was retired upon completing 25 years of service.

After the fall of the Awami League government, Sayla Farzana was made an Officer on Special Duty (OSD). Her husband, former Additional Inspector General of Police and head of the Special Branch (SB), Monirul Islam, was also sent into forced retirement.
