A total of 14.32 lakh taxpayers have submitted their income tax returns online for the 2024-25 fiscal year, while 18.75 lakh taxpayers have registered for e-return filing.
The National Board of Revenue (NBR) shared the information in a press release on Tuesday (Feb 25).
Taxpayers who made errors in their returns can submit corrected returns online.
According to NBR, under Section 180(1) of the Income Tax Act 2023, revised returns can be filed within 180 days of the original submission as per Section 180(2).
Those who want to correct their online returns can do so through the official website https://etaxnbr.gov.bd/.
However, once a taxpayer accesses the correction option, submitting the revised return becomes mandatory.
