DHAKA: The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) is quizzing ruling party MP Aslamul Haque, elected from Dhaka-14 constituency, for his alleged involvement in attaining illegal assets.
MP Aslam is being interrogated by deputy director of ACC Mejbahur Rahman from 10:00am at ACC main office.
The anti-graft body said that the volume of his asset has increased more than 34 times during last five years.
According to the affidavit of 2008, his net asset was 4.19 acres land worth about Tk 20,69,500 but during the tenth national parliament election he showed asset in his affidavit 145.67 acres land worth Tk 192,99500.
So the ACC decided to investigate whether his asset had been attained illegally.
