Syed Jamil Ahmed, Director General of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, has announced his resignation.

He made the announcement on Friday (Feb28) at an event held at the National Theatre Hall of Shilpakala Academy. He confirmed that he had submitted his resignation letter to the Secretary of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs.

The government appointed Syed Jamil Ahmed as the Director General of Shilpakala Academy following the July uprising.

On August 5, after the fall of the Sheikh Hasina-led government, Liaquat Ali Lucky resigned from the position on August 12, ending his 13-year tenure.
