Bangladeshi youth killed in BSF shooting along Kasba border 

A 32-year-old man was shot dead by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) near the Putia border in Kasba upazila of Brahmanbaria.

The victim has been identified as Md. Al-Amin, the son of Sultan Mia, from Dakshin Putia village in Bayek union.

According to Kasba Upazila Executive Officer Mohammad Samiul Islam, citing the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), the incident occurred on the night of February 28. 

He also said, Al-Amin was reportedly moving suspiciously on the far side of the barbed wire fence along the Putia border when BSF personnel fired on him, suspecting him of involvement in smuggling.

Al-Amin sustained serious injuries and was subsequently transported by the BSF to a hospital in India for medical treatment, but he succumbed to his injuries later that night, he added.
