DHAKA: A murder case was filed against four people, including three police officers of Pallabi Thana, with Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court on Wednesday.

The accused are Pallabi Thana sub-inspectors Jahidur Rahman Khan, Abdul Baten, Shovan Kumar Saha and a police source Suman.  

Bangladesh Legal Trust and Service (BUST) filed the case.

Filing the case, metropolitan magistrate Anwar Sadat directed the authorities concerned to investigate into the case along with the murder case filed with Pallabi Thana on February 9 by victim’s father.     

The case statement reads: Jony, a youth resided in Pallabi Thana area, was beaten to death at Pallabi Thana by the accused on charge of making chaos at a ‘gaye holud’ of a marriage programme.
