Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus and United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres arrived in Cox’s Bazar today to visit the Rohingya refugee camps.

Their flight landed at Cox’s Bazar Airport at 12:48 pm, where they were welcomed by Disaster Management and Relief Adviser Faruk E Azam.

During the visit, Prof Yunus will inaugurate a project at Cox’s Bazar Airport and visit the Khurushkul climate refugee center.

He is also expected to interact with Rohingya youth and children.

The visit will conclude in the evening with their return to Dhaka, where Guterres will attend several events, including a visit to the UN Common Premises and a discussion on Bangladesh’s reform process.
