Police have recovered weapons looted from a police station, abandoned in a paddy field in Araihazar Upazila of Narayanganj.

The recovery took place on Friday (March 14) in the Gazipura area, where police found a gas gun, a shotgun, and 18 rounds of ammunition.

Earlier in the morning, locals spotted the weapons while working in the field and informed the police.

Araihazar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Enayet Hossain confirmed the matter.

Police acted on the locals’ report and secured the weapons, he added.
