The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted rain, thunderstorms, and lightning for the next 24 hours starting this morning. 

Occasional gusty winds and hail are expected in one or two places across Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions.

A trough of low pressure lies over West Bengal, while a seasonal low is present over the South Bay. Daytime temperatures may drop by 1-2°C, with slight cooling at night.

Thursday’s maximum temperature was recorded at 35°C in Rangamati, while the minimum temperature today was 17°C in Tetulia, Panchagarh.

The sun will set at 6:10 PM today and rise at 6:01 AM tomorrow in the capital.
