DHAKA: A rickshaw puller was killed after falling brick from a under construction building in Meradiya area at Khilgaon in the city on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Sekander Ali, son of Late Mofazzal Hossain, hailed from Jaldhaka of Nilphamari district.

Local sources said Sekander was injured critically as a brick fell on his head while walking around there.

Mosabbir, brother of the Sekander, told banglanews that he was rushed to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he died.

He also alleged that there was no security measure in the under construction building. “My brother died due to negligence of the owner of the building,” he said.

Inspector of DMC Mozammel Haque confirmed the matter to banglanews.
