MOULVIBAZAR: A local businessman was killed in road accident at Kulaura upazila in the district on Sunday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Abed Ahmed, 38, hailed from Rautgaon of the upazilla.

Local sources said a rashly driven microbus crushed into motorbike of Abed while he going to Rautgaon from Amjhup, leaving dead on the spot.

Hasan-uz-zaman, Officer-in-Charge of Kulaura Thana, told banglanews that angry people blockaded the road for two hours following the accident.

Later, police took situation under control, he added.
