A mild to moderate heat wave is currently sweeping through various regions of Bangladesh, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) reported today. The heat is expected to ease in some areas.
According to the BMD bulletin issued at 9 am, the heat wave is impacting Dhaka, Rajshahi, and Khulna divisions, as well as the districts of Moulvibazar, Rangamati, Barishal, and Patuakhali.
However, the heat is expected to subside in certain locations.
The weather across the country is forecast to remain dry with occasional partly cloudy skies, the bulletin added.
On Saturday, Jashore in Khulna division recorded the highest temperature of 39.4°C. Meanwhile, the lowest temperature of 16.8°C was recorded in Rajshahi today.
In Dhaka, the sun is expected to set at 6:14 pm today and rise at 5:52 am tomorrow.
