COX’S BAZAR: President M Abdul Hamid visited the Bouddha Bihar at Ramu upazila of the district on Monday morning.

The helicopter carrying the President landed at the helipad of Ramu Rubber Garden around 11:00am.

Later, he visited Srikul Maitree Bihar, Srikul Natun Bihar, Lal Ching Bihar, Sada Ching Bihar, Arpan Charan and central Shima Bihar.

Leaders of Buddhists community led-by Head of the Shima Bihar, also former President of Bangladesh Sangharaj Bhikkhu Mahasabha, pundit Satya Priya Mahathero, welcomed the President.

The President left Ramu for Dhaka around 1:00pm.

Member of the Parliament Saimum Sarwar Kamal, Deputy Commissioner Ruhul Amin, Zila Parishad Administrator Mostak Ahmed Chowdhury, Police Super Azad Mia and other high officials were present during the visit.
