CHITTAGONG: Miscreants chopped dead a local Krishak League leader in Hathazari upazila of the district on Tuesday morning.

The deceased was identified as M Wasim, 35, general secretary of Fateyabad unit Krishak League.

Officer-in-Charge of Hathazari Thana M Ismail confirmed the matter to banglanews.

We recovered his mutilated body and sent it to the morgue for an autopsy, he added.

OC Ismail also said that police were looking into the matter.
