PIROJPUR: Fire gutted three shops and a hotel in Uttar Bandar area under Kawkhali Upazila of the district on Tuesday morning.

Local sources said the fire broke out from an explosion of a stove of a hotel around 7:45am and spread out to adjacent three shops instantly.

On information, a fire service unit rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control after one hour effort.

Meanwhile, a customer and a worker of the hotel burnt in the fire.

Local people rushed them to Kaukhali Hospital, reported banglanews correspondent.

Kaukhali Upazila Chairman SM Ahsan Kabir told banglanews, “The fire gutted wealth worth about Tk 50 lakh.”
