PARBATIPUR (DINAJPUR): Three people, including two children, were killed and 20 others injured as a passenger bus plunged into a roadside ditch in Bejai intersection at the upazila in the district on Tuesday afternoon.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Police sources said a passenger bus plunged into a roadside ditch as its driver lost control over steering after at tyre punctured in the area around 4:00pm, leaving three people dead on the spot and 20 others injured.

The injured were rushed to Dinajpur Medical College Hospital and Phulbari Upazila Health Complex.

Sub-Inspector of Parbatipur Police Station Nuruzzaman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
