DHAKA: A hanging body of a student was recovered from a hostel in city’s Monipuri area on Tuesday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Mridul Kundu Halder, 23, a first year Honor’s student of Government Titumir College and hailed from Pirajpur district.

Deceased’s friend Arif told banglanews that Mridul was traceless from the morning. At one stage of searching, he along with others found Mridul’s hanging body at Nazat Hostel where he was living.

However, Mridul was rescued and rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where on duty doctor declared him dead.

In-Charge of DMCH Police Outpost Inspector M Mojammel Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.
