NARAYANGANJ: A devastating fire broke out at a shoe factory in Adamjee Export Processing Zone (EPZ) of the district on Tuesday night.

The cause of fire origination could not be known yet.

Haziganj Station of Narayanganj Fire Service Station Officer Aminul Islam said that the fire originated in the warehouse around 10:00pm and spread out to adjacent area instantly.

On information, five fire fighting units rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control after half an hour effort.

The extent of loss from the fire could not be estimated.
