3 siblings found dead in sacks in Narayanganj

Police recovered the bodies of three siblings stuffed in sacks near a house in Mizmizi Paschimpara area of Siddhirganj in Narayanganj around 11:30 AM on Friday (April 11).

The deceased were identified as Lamia Akter, 22, her sister Swapna Akter, 35, and Swapna’s 4-year-old son Abdullah. They were all children of the late Abdul Samad from the Siddhirganj area.

According to police, a local resident named Likhon, 27, spotted the sacks in the morning and called the emergency helpline 999. Siddhirganj police later arrived and recovered the bodies.

Family members alleged that Lamia’s husband, Md Yasin, a drug addict with no steady work, often argued with her. They suspect he may be involved in the killings.

Siddhirganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge Shahinur Alam said the bodies have been sent for autopsy.

“We are at the spot and investigating the incident. Details will be shared after the investigation,” he added.
