Three youths were killed after being struck by a train in the Madhabpur area of Burichang upazila in Cumilla early Wednesday (April 23).
Sub-Inspector Sohel Molla, in-charge of the Cumilla Sadar Railway Police Outpost, confirmed the matter.
He said the victims were hit by a train traveling on the Chattogram-bound down line of the Dhaka-Chattogram railway route.
The identities of the deceased have not yet been determined, and authorities have yet to confirm which specific train was involved in the fatal incident.
Railway police said that legal proceedings are currently underway.
The bodies will be sent to Cumilla Medical College Hospital for autopsy as part of the ongoing investigation, police added.
