SATKHIRA: The Election Commission (EC) on Friday withdrew seven presiding officers appointed in Kaliganj upazila of the district for the third phase of fourth upazila polls over alleged incompetence.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of the district, also Returning Officer Muhasin Ali confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Some 1436 trained Presiding, Assistant Presiding and Polling Officers will perform duties at 68 voting centers of 12 unions of the Upazila.
