MYMENSINGH: A man allegedly committed suicide after killing his wife in Seedstore Bazar area under Bhaluka upazila of the district on Friday night.

The deceased were identified as Sabina, 21 and Khokan Mia, 28.

Pradip Kumar Roy, Sub-Inspector of Bhaluka Model Thana, informed banglanews that Khokan and Sabina were living in a rented house in Seedstore Bazar area. Their neighbors informed police about there were no response from the house for a long on Friday night.

On information, police recovered their bodies after breaking the door, he added.

The SI said, Sabina’s body was found lying on the floor and Khokan hanging from the ceiling fan.

Police recovered their bodies and sent to the Mymensingh Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Police suspect that Khokon might have committed suicide after killing Sabina but the reason is yet to know.

However, a case is going to be filed in this connection.
