Dhaka: Dhaka Bank Limited (DBL) will provide scholarships to the students of social science faculty of Dhaka University as a part of celebrating its 15th year anniversary.

Reshadur Rahman, Chairman of DBL on Monday handed over a cheque to A A M S Arefin Siddique, Vice-Chancellor of DU to fund the scholarship.

Five scholarships will be given to the students of Economics, Public Administration, Social Science, Mass Communication & Journalism and Political Science department, who will secure the first position in BSS (Honours) exam in their respective department. The recipients of the scholarship will get a monthly stipend for one year.

Mr. Khondker Fazle Rashid, Managing Director, Professor Dr. Giti Ara Nasrin, Chairman, Mass Communication & Journalism Department, Professor Dr. A I Mahbubuddin Ahmed, Chairman, Social Science Department, Professor Dr. Shawkat Ara Hossain, Chairman, Political Science Department were also present during the occasion.
