United Arab Emirates (UAE) has launched limited visit visas for Bangladeshi citizens, according to UAE Ambassador Abdullah Ali Al Hamoudi.
During a meeting at the office of Chief Adviser’s Special Envoy Lutfey Siddiqi on Sunday (May 4), the ambassador shared the development, commending Siddique’s recent efforts in negotiating visa and investment facilities with UAE government ministers.
He said that the UAE Embassy in Dhaka is currently issuing 30 to 50 visit visas daily.
Additionally, the visa processing system for business representatives has been made faster, facilitating commercial ties and individual travel.
The UAE Ministry of Human Resources has also reopened its online portal for skilled workers’ employment visas, allowing professionals such as marketing managers and hotel staff to apply.
So far, 500 security personnel have received visas, while an additional 1,000 visas have been approved for issuance soon.
Authorities anticipate further easing of visa restrictions for Bangladeshis in the coming months.
