The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast predominantly dry weather across the country over the next 24 hours, starting from 9:00am on Monday (May 5).
In its latest bulletin, the BMD said skies are expected to remain partly cloudy, with isolated rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds and lightning likely to occur in one or two places across the Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions.
Meteorologist Md Shaheenul Islam said both daytime and nighttime temperatures may rise slightly in most regions.
On Sunday, the highest temperature recorded was 35.8°C in Baghabari under the Rajshahi division, while the lowest, 21.5°C, was recorded on Monday morning in Dimla, Rangpur division.
In the capital, the sun is expected to set at 6:30pm on Monday and rise again at 5:21am on Tuesday.
