DHAKA: President M Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday greeted their Irish counterparts on the occasion of the St Patrick’s Day of the Republic of Ireland which falls Monday
In a message sent to Irish President Michael D Higgins, Abdul Hamid expressed his satisfaction over the excellent bilateral relations with Ireland.
The President also reiterated that the bonds of friendship and cooperation existing between the two countries would be further strengthened in the years ahead.
Besides, in a separate message, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina greeted Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny and expressed her confidence that the bonds of friendship, understanding and cooperation with Ireland would be further consolidated for the mutual benefit of the peoples of the two friendly countries.
The premier also wished good health, long life and happiness of the Irish Prime Minister as well as continued peace, progress and wellbeing of the people of Ireland.
