NOAKHALI: Police recovered two bullet injured bodies, including an activist of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), from Deliyai village in Khilpara union under Chatkhil Upazila of the district on Monday morning.

Of the deceased, one was identified as Mikail Hossain Akash, 25, president of Mohammadpur UP’s ward-1 unit Chhatra  Dal, the student wing of BNP.

Local Union Parishad Member Shamsuddin Bahar said that noticing two floating bodies in a cannel and another nearby pond, locals informed Chatkhil police station around 10:00am.

On information, police rushed to the spot and sent to the bodies Noakhali Sadar Hospital Morgue for autopsy.

Locals said that they heard sounds of four rounds of firing in the area on Sunday midnight.

Chatkhil Thana Officer-in-Charge Ibrahim Khalil confirmed the matter to banglanews.
