National Citizen’s Party (NCP) organizer (Southern Region) Hasnat Abdullah has accused the current interim government of ensuring a "safe exit" for Awami League ministers and MPs.
In a verified Facebook post on Thursday (8 May), he expressed frustration, saying, "Murderers are allowed to leave the country safely, courts grant bail even when police arrest them. Shirin Sharmin was given a passport under state supervision at home."
He questioned, "The second tribunal was supposed to start in January but hasn’t begun even in May. And you say Awami League will face justice?"
Mentioning the government, he added, "So far, what reforms or trials have you conducted?"
Notably, several former AL ministers and MPs have left the country amid allegations of enjoying luxury abroad. Former President Abdul Hamid also departed late Wednesday night.
