SHARIATPUR: A ten-year old boy along with his father was killed in a road accident in Nangal Bhanga area under Sadar upazila of the district on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Delwar Chhaiyal, 35, a trolley driver and his ten-year-old son Mannan Chhaiyal Babu, student of class (IV) of Sajanpur Primary School, residents of the area.

Witnesses said that a truck rammed a goods-laden trolley driven by Delwar Chhayal in the area around 9:00am, leaving Delwar dead on the spot and his son Babu critically injured.

Babu was rushed to Shariatpur Hospital where on duty doctor declared him dead.

Shariatpur Model Thana Officer-in-Charge Abul Khayer confirmed the matter to banglanews.
