Dhaka: A bagger was run over by a speedy truck in Banani area of the city Tuesday night.

The deceased, Babul Mian, 40, used to live in Korail Slum of Mohakhali area and was hailed from Sylhet.

Witness Mofiz Mian said, Babul, a physically-challenged person, used to begging in Gulshan and Banani areas of the city.

A truck hit him on Road no. 11 at Banani on way to home by a rickshaw after finishing his livelihood, leaving Babul injured, the witness added.

Later, the injured was taken to a local hospital, later shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where on-duty doctor pronounced him dead at 11:30pm, said Mofiz.
