The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers in several parts of the country over the next 24 hours starting this morning.
Rain accompanied by lightning and gusty winds is expected in parts of Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions, with isolated showers in other regions including Dhaka and Sylhet.
A trough of low lies over West Bengal to the North Bay, and a low-pressure area may form around May 27.
Day temperatures may rise slightly, while night temperatures will remain stable.
Kumarkhali recorded the highest temperature Thursday at 35.8°C, while Sylhet saw the lowest today at 22.9°C. The highest rainfall was 81mm in Bandarban.
