The Bangladesh Army on Friday urged the public to stay alert against a group spreading confusion by misusing the Armed Forces’ official logo.

In a statement posted on the Army’s official Facebook page, it said a vested quarter recently circulated a fake press release using the logo of the Bangladesh Armed Forces.

“This false release is aimed at creating confusion among the public and spreading division between the Armed Forces and the people,” the statement read.

The Army also called on everyone not to believe or spread rumours.

“Do not fall for rumours or get confused. Verify the truth and stay aware,” the Army advised in the message.
