Dhaka ranked 41st among cities with the worst air quality on Tuesday morning, recording an AQI score of 62 at 10:30am, according to Air Quality Index (AQI) data.
The air was classified as "moderate," posing a minor health risk and continuing the city's three-day streak of similar conditions.
Kinshasa, Lahore, and Hanoi topped the list with significantly higher AQI scores. Experts note that while Dhaka’s air improves during monsoon, pollution remains a persistent health concern.
As per World Health Organization (WHO), air pollution kills an estimated seven million people worldwide every year.
