Three people were killed and six others injured when a passenger bus collided with a Mahindra vehicle in Ishwarganj upazila of Mymensingh on Wednesday (May 28) evening.

The accident happened around 6:30pm at Dattapara area of Ward No. 2 under Ishwarganj municipality, on the Mymensingh-Kishoreganj highway.

According to locals, the BRTC bus was heading towards Mymensingh from Sylhet when it collided with a Mahindra coming from the opposite direction toward Ishwarganj.

Mymensingh Fire Service Deputy Assistant Director Md Atikur Rahman confirmed the matter.

He said that three people died at the scene. 

The identities of the deceased and injured were not immediately known, he added.
