Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent Eid-ul-Azha greetings to Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus on Friday night through the Indian Embassy in Dhaka.

A source from India’s foreign ministry confirmed the matter.

In his message, Modi highlighted the significance of the festival, saying it reflects values like sacrifice, compassion, and brotherhood—key to a peaceful and inclusive world. He also noted that Eid is an important part of the region’s rich cultural diversity and is celebrated by millions with joy.
