DHAKA: A youth was crushed under wheels of a train in Kuril rail crossing area of the capital on Thursday morning.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Witnesses said that the victim was trying to cross the rail crossing avoiding signal at around 7:45am. Then, a Dhaka-bound train ran over the victim, leaving him dead on the spot.

Kamlapur railway thana officer-in-charge Abdul Majid confirmed the matter to banglanews.
