Indefinite transport strike paralyses Pabna

PABNA: An indefinite transport strike began in Pabna on Thursday morning disrupting road link of the district with rest of the country.

The strike started from 6:00am. Bus services to and from Pabna came to a halt, causing immense suffering to thousands of passengers.

But, some light vehicles including Nasiman, Kariman, CNG and battery-run auto rickshaws were seen plying in the roads.
Earlier on Friday morning, police detained a bus driver Rezaul Hossain, supervisor Abdul Mamin and helper Shahin.

Later, protesting their detention, Pabna transport owners-workers association called the strike for an indefinite period.
