30-gold bar seized at Ctg airport

CHITTAGONG: The customs authority of Shah Amanat International Airport seized 30 gold bars, weighing three and half kilograms, from two cleaners of Bangladesh Biman on Thursday morning.

Assistant Commissioner of Chittagong Customs Moshiur Rahman Mandal told banglanews that after searching in the body of the two cleaners; customs officials found the gold bars worth more than Tk 1.5 crore.

The fight of Bangladesh Biman coming from Dubai of Arab Emirates landed at the airport around 10:30am, he added.
