DHAKA: A Dhaka court Thursday sent top terrorist Murad to jail on the charge of attempt to murder case of Sheikh Hasina, daughter of Bangabandhu.

Additional Metropolitan Session Court-4 Judge Habibur Rahman passed the order on Thursday noon.

Besides, Murad was shown arrested in another case of Palash killing of Matijhil.

The case number is 499/99.

Additional Public Prosecutor Saiful Islam Helal confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Earlier on Wednesday, the top terrorist was held by International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) in the United States of America and sent back to Bangladesh.

Murad allegedly hurled bombs at Sheikh Hasina’s Dhanmondi Road -32 residence back in 1989. A case against him was filed with Dhanmondi Police Station under the Explosives Act.

Later, he fled to the USA and sought political asylum in 1995. In 2011, CID issued red notice against him and sought help to INTERPOL to bring back the terrorist.
