RANGAMATI: Army, Navy and fire service personnel recovered bodies of a man and his wife from Kaptai Lake on Saturday morning.

The deceased were identified as Alauddin Patwary and Airin Sultana. They hailed from Comilla.

Police sources said that seeing the bodies floating in the lake at 8:00am Saturday, locals of Jibontali area informed police.

Immediately, police, Army and Navy personnel rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies.  

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Officer-in-Charge of Rangamati Kotwali Thana Monu Sohel Imtiaz said that the bodies were taken to DC Banglo.

Allude to the couple was missing from March 19 after their boat turned turtle in Kaptai Lake during a storm.
