NARAYANGANJ: Three people were killed and three others sustained injuries when railing of a garment factory collapsed on a running auto-rickshaw during storm at Fatullah in Sadar Upazila of the district Saturday night.

The deceased were identified Wazuddin, the driver of the auto-rikshaw, and its two passengers Azharul and Forkan.

Sources said, railing of an under-constriction building of Kaktaxt Garments factory fell on a running auto-rickshaw during a storm at Kutubail of Fatullah industrial area at 8:30pm, leaving the one killed on the spot and five passengers injured.

Of the injured, two succumbed to their injuries on way to hospital.

Details of rest of the injured could not be known immediately.

Hearing the news, agitated workers of factory vandalized the factory. On information, police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.

Fatullah Model Police Station Officer-In-Charge Akter Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.
