DHAKA: In consistent with the posts, own rank badge for the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) was introduced on Sunday in order to reforming.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina adorned the new rank badges to BGB Director General Major General Aziz Ahmed at her office in the morning.

The other officials of BGB along with those, who had ranks, were also adorned with rank badges at that time.

BGB sources told banglanews that the introduction of the own rank badges fulfilled a long-cherished demand of country’s frontier forces.

In reforming BGB, four regional Headquarters and four new sectors have been set up.

Ranks for the personnel, who will come from Bangladesh Army and other forces under home ministry, will remain unchanged.
