DHAKA: A mechanic worker was killed by a gang of Agyan Party in Farmgate area in city on Sunday after being senseless.

The deceased was identified as M Shafique, 38, son of M Ali hailed from Islampur village of Shahadatpur under Sirajganj.

Tejgaon Thana Assistant Sub-Inspector Mozammel Haque told banglanews that Shafique was found senseless near Khamarbari Flowers Market at Farmgate.

Passersby rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital and he died there in the evening, he added.

ASI said Shafique was sent to Dhaka with Tk 55,000 to purchase motor parts.
