LALMONIRHAT: Border Security Force (BSF) of India detained a cattle trader in Kismat Mijma border area of Patgram upazila of the district on Tuesday morning.
The victim was identified as Jahedul Islam, 35, son of one Moslem Uddin, resident of Sattar Bari village of Sreerampur Union of the upazila.
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) sources said that BSF nabbed the cattle trader from the area around 6:00am while crossing through the Kismat Mijma border area along with cattle.
Lalmonirhat Battalion 15 commander of BGB Lieutenant Colonel Safiul Islam Shafi issued a letter to BSF protesting the incident.
